Katie Johnston is a healthcare technology leader who advises senior executives how technology and data can solve inequities across all care domains. Katie brings a patient and provider advocacy lens to her work and is passionate about using technology to empower patients to make informed decisions about their care. Over the past five years, Katie has defined business and IT strategy for deployment of electronic health and revenue cycle services for 800+ providers over seven health systems. She has extensive experience in electronic health record analysis, implementation, and management over patient access, patient experience, and revenue cycle domains. Katie has demonstrated success in leading program development with value-based care programs, strategic alliances including Community Connect, and cross-sector research initiatives. Additionally, she led the technology implementation at the Boston Women’s Workforce Council, a public-private partnership under Mayor Marty Walsh to help Boston-based companies measure and address racial and gender pay inequities.Katie received her Master’s in Public Health from Boston University and is the first and only undergraduate from Lehigh University to graduate with a Bachelor’s in both Women’s Studies and Biology to date. Katie is certified as a Project Management Professional from Project Management Institute.
