When I was a child, the place I have always found myself at were anywhere with lots of cars whether they were toy cars or real cars at car shows. With my love for automobiles, it was never how it looked that intrigued me, but it was more how it sounded, how fast it was, and what is allowing this car to be so fast or slow. All of these curious thoughts ultimately caused me to pretty much break all my toy cars while opening them up to see what was turning the wheels. This curiosity progressed and soon I was tinkering with numerous electronics, fixing some while breaking many. My parents were the typical Asian parents where they wanted their kids to be doctors or lawyers. Unfortunately, this heavily influenced my initial career path and I studied biology for 3 years in college. But my passion for mechanical machines never died and ultimately became the deciding factor to take a 180 degree turn to Mechanical Engineering.I graduated with a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Here I was able to study higher mathematics and physics. Also, I learned how to use several software that pertain to the engineering field such as SOLIDWORKS, Altair, LabVIEW, and some MATLAB. Understanding the science and mechanics behind many of the things I used to open up and try to fix and learning how to use several tools such as the software mentioned earlier made a huge positive difference in my view of mechanical systems. I am currently finding myself putting in my all in aiding in the development of a fully autonomous Robotaxi. Testing experimental software after software, all while trying to obtain a deeper understanding of tech space in general. My love for automobiles will never die out, but they say the future is in AI, machine-learning. What better way to better the future than through developing something that has both.
