I'm an environmentalist employed at Glasgow School of Art, engaging students and staff on environmental and social justice across the curriculum and on the GSA estate. At GSA we integrate environmental issues with social issues, and address these through the architecture, design and art we research and teach I provide tutorial support for students, training for staff and work with academics to update and integrate the curriculum into environmental and social justice.I'm on the Board of theatre group Vanishing Point, and regularly talk to other sectors and subject areas in education and businesses about their role in addressing the issues we face. We live in a designed economy and society and the design subjects at GSA can create a better system. Art is essential for us to connect emotionally to, and to demand, these changes.
