He served for 5 years each on the audit and finance committees and for three years on the pay and compensation committee.He recently retired as a Major General (two-stars) in the U.S. Air Force Reserve, including serving as the Mobilization Assistant to the Air Force Chief of Staff, assisting with the organization, training and equipping of 685,000 active-duty, Guard, Reserve and civilians. 33+ years of increasing responsibility and leadership in acquisition, program management, aircraft sustainment, supply chain and logistics. Special focus on international policy in Pacific theater, with senior leadership of entire Pacific region while serving as a Brigadier General as the Senior Reservist to the Director of Logistics for the entire US INDOPACOM command in Honolulu, HI.He has an MBA in Marketing and another Master’s Degree in Economics. His undergraduate degree is from the U.S. Air Force Academy in Political Science. He recently earned a certificate in Machine Learning/AI from MIT Sloan School of Management. He’s an Eagle Scout and his hobbies include travel and foreign languages. He is also a PADI Divemaster.He is married to Michelle Tree, and they have 5 children. It is the second marriage for both of them. Tragically, his oldest daughter from his first marriage, Stephanie Tree, died from an accidental drug overdose in August, 2011.
