Non-profit organization dedicated to providing support and training for recognizing and dealing with individuals with mental illnesses to law enforcement; providing family-to-family and peer-to-peer educational and training programs; and improving the overall public awareness of caring for and treating individuals with mental illnesses.

TAPEIT is dedicated to training and educating evidence technicians in the management of evidence rooms. We host an annual conference to over 250 attendees, providing the best training available. Although a state association, we have many members from other states, from as far away as Virginia, who attend our conferences to learn more about the job.

Lead 70+ employees assigned to the Records Unit, 9-1-1 Communications, Evidence Room and Impound Facility. Key team member of $7M public safety radio system and $3M RMS projects. Key member of the Texas Radio Coalition.

Responsible for daily operations of Records Unit, Forensic Crime Lab, Evidence Room and Impound Facility.
