ABGR is the US Chamber of Commerce instance in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It's mandate is to foster commerce between the USA and Saudi Arabia as well as being an advocate for American companies and Expats doing business in Saudi Arabia. I was elected to the Steering Committee (aka Board of Directors) in February 2011 and appointed as the Vice Chairman in June 2011. We work closely with the US Embassy and our membership spans industries such as Financial Services, Energy, Petrochemical, Defense, Construction and others.

OCC is the central clearing house for all securities derivatives (options and securities futures) traded in the USA. We clear for CBOE, ISE, NYSE, AMEX, PHLX, BOX, ONE, CFE, and PBOT. In 2008 we clear approximately 14 million contracts a day and have $50 billion of margin assets on deposit. In 2009 we started clearing services for NYSE/LIFFE Metals (futures), AQS Stock Loans, and ELX Treasury futures.

Cargill - LA had approximately 35 business units spread across about 16 countries. Business activities included Grain origination and trading, food processing, and financial markets trading. I helped get the IT group to operate as a highly performant team providing highly regarded services to business units within and outside of the region. Based in Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo, I learned an awful lot about the cultures, futbol (soccer), and a little bit of Spanish.

Helped to develop the business plan and implemented a fully electronic order entry and routing system for the futures brokerage sub of Cargill. CIS was one of the first in the FCM industry to implement this capability.

Based in Boston, implemented a global IT system for the trading, distribution, logistics, and administration for Crude oil, Refined Products, and Natural Gas.

LDE is a large Energy commodities trading firm with physical assets in Crude & NatGas Exploration & Development, Refined Products transportation, storage, and distribution. I started as Special Projects Manager - mostly M&A and acquisition integration related activities. Last position was Global Trade Administration which was all middle / back office business operations. Ended up with a handful of IT related functions which led me into IT management positions at Cargill.

Started as a grunt consultant in the Financial Services Center part of Touch Ross Consulting in New York City (World Trade Center). Diversified set of projects including Financial Institution operations improvements, bankruptcy workouts, M&A due diligence, treasury & custody operations, etc. My last client was Louis-Dreyfus Energy.

Started as a trainee in the National Accounts Division with a diversified but mostly manufacturing oriented customer base. Although I did very well with both positions, I liked the Systems Engineer position better than being a Marketing Rep because it was more hands-on / problem solving type work. Became a CAD/CAM specialist. Started trading stocks early in life and soon my trading industry passion led my career in that direction vs. manufacturing.
