My love for problem solving and discovery has led me to where I am today. I have had an interest in both science and technology for as long as I can remember and, after taking chemistry and physics in high school, I decided to further my education in these fields. During my time at The College at Brockport, I developed my skills and understanding of physics, math, chemistry and computational science. I particularly enjoyed the laboratory experience I gained in fields such as Organic Chemistry and Advanced Physics. I was also provided with the opportunity to be a Teaching Assistant for the introductory physics labs. The experience and skills I gained from this include: troubleshooting lab equipment, experimental techniques, lab safety and communication skills. Other experiences I found useful came from courses and projects I completed. Courses such as Chemical Safety, Forensic Computing, Probability and Statistics, High Performance Computing and Modern Physics provided me with an assortment of new skills that could prove helpful in my future. I also worked on projects that gave me experience with equipment ranging from simple electronic circuits to a highly complex X-Ray Diffractometer.
