He is a strategic thinker who consistently connects the dots and rallies leaders across the company to maximize the potential of marketing and sales projects or initiatives.John attended Saint John’s University and was an NCAA Division III athlete. After graduation, he joined Energizer, the world’s largest manufacturer of batteries, and drove sales results at mass retail accounts including Target, Best Buy, Walmart and Sam’s Club. At Shire, the market leader in the development of specialty pharmaceutical products, John launched multiple blockbuster products that generated over $1B in annual revenue.John completed an MBA from the University of St. Thomas, Schulze School of Entrepreneurship (a top 25 program nationally) and won first place in a business plan competition. After graduation, he founded a marketing and sales consulting business and became a published and award-winning author. John then joined Verata Health, a leading healthcare AI company backed by BCBS, Bessemer, LRV Health and 3M, as employee #18 and the first marketing hire. Working with leadership, John helped build the go-to-market strategy and after 18 months, Verata was acquired by Olive for $120M. At Olive, a multi-billion dollar healthcare AI company (named to Fast Company’s annual list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies for 2022) John led the Verata marketing integration, launched the payer audience campaign and was the strategy lead for a campaign announcing Olive’s first payer customer. As the Director of Payer Go To Market Operations, John executed on sales and marketing initiatives for Olive in the Payer Market while actively facilitating Payer-facing commercial activities in close coordination with Olive’s Sales, Product and Marketing teams. This cross-functional and strategic role was a critical part of Olive's Payer Market organization. John was an integral part of the core team that supported the Auth AI solution that was acquired by Availity in April of 2023.
