The Elementary Academic Technology Coach promotes 21st Century teaching and learning by providing technology coaching practices, including, but not limited to, staff development, model teaching, and campus planning.

Present and train new elementary substitutes in effective teaching practices so that they can properly deliver teaching plans and manage a classroom.

Raba Elementary

The teacher in the Gifted/Talented Enrichment Program works in an instructional setting with students who have been identified as Gifted/Talented using district established criteria. The teacher acts as a facilitator with students and provides them with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help GT students fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, and social growth. The GT/Enrichment teacher serves on the Campus Selection Committee and coordinates GT screening and assessment at the campus level. Duties also include classroom and school wide enrichment.

Raba Elementary

Certified teachers provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the academic subject area assigned to help themfulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical and social growth. They enable students to develop competencies and skills tofunction successfully in society.

The K-12 Tech Apps IST writes and maintain K-12 TA TEKS curriculum, apply an understanding of teacher pedagogy, provide staff development to large and diverse audiences, including K-5 ECTs and 6-12 Tech Apps teachers through pull-outs and campus site visits.

Assisting classroom teachers with academic integration projects, provide professional development at campus and district level.

Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the district’s curriculum program. Prepare lessons that reflect accommodations for differences in student learning styles.Present subject matter according to guidelines established by TEA, board policies and administrative regulations. Plan and supervise assignments of teacher aide(s) and volunteer (s). Work cooperatively with administrators, team leaders, department coordinators, content specialists and other staff as needed to meet curriculum objectives. Work cooperatively with special education teachers to modify curricula as needed for special education students according to guidelines established in Individual Education Plans (IEP). Help students analyze and improve study methods and habits. Conduct ongoing assessment of student achievement through formal and informal testing. Manage student behavior in accordance with Student Code of Conduct and student handbook. Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities. Assist in selection of books, equipment and other instructional materials. Establish and maintain open communication by conducting conferences with parents, students, principals and teachers. Compile, maintain and file all physical and computerized reports, records and other documents required. Attend and participate in faculty meetings and serve on staff committees as required. Participate in staff development activities to improve job-related skills.
