PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:Now retired, John's 45-year career touched financial services, insurance, manufacturing, government, health care, and the automotive industry. His broad background includes experience in P&L management, strategy, planning, start-ups, and marketing, plus two decades of Continuous Improvement leadership (Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen). John consulted with nearly 40 organizations worldwide and has over 80 Kaizen events in a wide variety of industries. Prior to launching Prentice Consulting, Inc. in 2004, he was an Executive Director for Hillenbrand Industries, a global Fortune 1000 company, acting as an internal consultant on strategic issues, as well as consulting for the company's European operations. As President and Chief Executive Officer of Forethought Federal Savings Bank, Mr. Prentice was responsible for growing the business from start-up to an annual growth rate of over 100%. In a prior position as a Vice President and General Manager of Forethought Financial Services, Inc., he was instrumental in the creation and implementation of its products and services, exercised executive leadership of a sales force of 67 sales representatives and their managers, and was an essential part of the executive management team that guided the company along its unprecedented growth path, growing from start-up to over $500 million in annual sales.John also held management positions in corporate strategy and product planning with Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan.
