I am a tech guy by profession but an educator at heart. There is great satisfaction in understanding how stuff works and I am compelled to share that feeling. My unique background has taught me the following: no matter how complex and powerful a solution, no one is buying it if no one understands. For the same reason knowing how something works helps memorization, understanding facilitates satisfaction.Just as a good background song goes unnoticed, good software puts in big work behind the scenes. However, in both cases, the silence is deafening in their absence. In my eyes, the key to customer/internal success is to make sure that we not only deliver, but the recipient fully appreciates what is being delivered. Assuming a solid foundation, the difference between a life-changing product and just another bloatware is a matter of perspective.I love learning about new technologies. To me, what makes them interesting is the nuances: the ingenious logic, the little details, and even the dirty workarounds. I can show anyone the best sides of your product using the same magic I used to convince middle schoolers math class was the coolest thing on a dreary Monday morning. Then solving problems using these nuances comes naturally.When I’m not troubleshooting or spreading the joy of learning (I've been tutoring and teaching since I was 13), you can find me driving my friends to our next adventure (somehow I’m still the only one with a car!), reminiscing about my pre-pandemic golden age of social dancing, or spoiling my cat.
