Responsibilities included planning trials and writing trial protocols to ensure that they met the established company’s needs, ordering required supplies, setting up trial to ensure good scientific results can be obtained, management of trials and applications of company products following trail protocol, data collection and data analysis using Minitab and Jamovi statistical analysis programs.Managed laboratory based research looking at fruit firmness of blueberries and grapes including updating trial protocol to ensure that meaningful results could be obtained.Liaised with external contract research organizations to plan and implement field scale trials to generate further data regarding company products and their application under field conditions. I edit and correct the grammar as well as improving the vocabulary they used.I also have a role as the Assistant Managing Editor of the Research and Knowledge journal. I was part of the team that launched this journal. I now work with authors when they submit work to be published. This resulted in the work and results being focused on solving the problems the growers were experiencing.I wrote and produced two final reports for the growers that communicated my findings and how the growers could use the findings to improve their own production methods. In addition, I presented the work at several scientific and grower conferences.I was involved in the supervision of MSc and BSc students who performed their research projects into strawberry powdery mildew. I gained first had retail experience by working in a shop during my MSc and directly after it.At various times I was responsible for nearly all of the store functions as there was a small staff and we all had to do all the different roles. The tasks I performed included serving customers, restocking, ordering new stock, cashing up, going to the bank with the takings and advising customers. At the weekends and during academic holidays I worked on a mixed farm (beef, pigs, barley, potatoes) and performed all jobs related to animal and plant care. I started this job when I was at school and continued until part-way through my MSc.
