This is a 9.2 km long twin tunnel project which is one of the longest road tunnels in Asia, once it is completed. The project cost is around 2500 crores for which NHAI is the client.I have worked as a Project Engineer in MEP Department and was reporting to the MEP Manager. My responsibilities included both site & design works. I have been working with the MEP Design Manager and got involved in the following works,Reviewing drawings & design documents from the consultants & sub contractors.Preparing the drawings & design for the tunnel drainage & water supply system.Tunnel ventilation system design & vendor selection.Design works related to staff and labour camps plumbing and HVAC systems.Design, procurement & Installation of STP & RO Plants for the camp areasHeat Convector installation works at the camps.A/C Installation for office & camp areas.Maintenance and routine works related to plumbing and HVAC systems at the camps.Preparing BOQ & PR for all major works & items related to Plumbing & HVAC works and maintaining stock of all consumables and spares required for the same .Preparing Work Method Statements & Risk Assessment for various activities at the site.Preparing TBE for quotations received from the VendorsAlso got involved in the design works of the Tunnel ventilation and Fire fighting for the Permanent systems.
