Working at Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) as a GUI developer on the STN project. Worked to develop a pure javascript single page interface for their search tool aimed at professional researchers. This tool can query numerous chemistry and patent related databases through a web browser using either a custom query language or a visual chemical modeling tool. Designed and built the GUI tier, for the Online Account Opening application. Took static comps and transformed then into a working prototype/poc using JQuery, and standards compliant XHTML and JSTL. Then took the prototype and built it into a working app. Wrote the MVC Layer in Java 1.6 using Jackson to serialize the objects being sent to and from the client. Connected with new WESB and legacy enterprise services and with a local oracle DB using Hibernate.The OAO team was the first agile team at Huntington, had to develop the methodology and function of the team within the agile process. Had to transition from a waterfall through an iterative to a pure agile methodology.
