I have worked in the house building industry for 15 years starting out as a site labourer , before qualifying as a carpenter/joiner at which point i was employed as a carpenter/general builder, i was then promoted to site foreman and have enjoyed the role of site manager for the last 9 years. Through this progression i have gained great insight into how the different roles within the industry combine to put a house together. I see myself very much as a facilitator, enabling others do do their jobs well. Be that in making sure all relevant materials are present when needed or ensuring the sequence of works is in order.Probably my greatest asset is my communication skills and my ability to get the best out of contractors. As i have carried out many of the tasks which they are undertaking i have a clear view of how to maximise their potential. I am proficient in the use of microsoft word. i have been using revit for 5 + years. I write build programmes, Risk assessments, progress reports etc.I have built good working relationships with NHBC and Building control inspectors and have a good understanding of what it takes to get a development built, on schedule and within budget.
