Conducted engineering research and technical, logistic, and economic studies to determine requirements for complete retrofit packages. Ensured that the retrofit was practical for customer incorporation for delivered products. Applied engineering knowledge of design, planning, manufacture, operation, or maintenance of aircraft to prepare modification documents and associated drawings. Defined the procedures, special engineering, special tooling, kit packaging, independent work packages and material requirements for accomplishment of inspections, modifications, improvement changes, and repair of delivered products. Responsible for retrofit packages ranging from a software change to wing/strut modifications.-Developed, coordinated, and wrote one of the 747 Strut/Wing Modification Retrofit packages. Worked over 3000 hours in one year to release one of the largest Boeing service bulletins, on schedule. Service bulletin included electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and extensive structural rework. 747 Strut Mod program was the largest retrofit program undertaken by the Boeing Company. Over 500 747 Classic airplanes have been modified and successfully returned to service.-Simultaneously managed multiple projects and ensured programs are successfully completed on schedule.-Managed and coordinated technical issues directly with international and domestic airlines.-Represented Boeing abroad for technical assists and validation of retrofit changes.

Supervised the work activities of 4 to 6 engineers. Coordinated and maintained workloads and checked work to ensure compliance with industry and group standards. Responsible for Fire Protection Systems on all Boeing Commercial Airplanes.-Coordinated and guided the rewrite/approval of 757/767 Fire Protection Maintenance and Fault Isolation procedures, to be approved for use by the Federal Aviation Administration. Effort led to the 757 and 767 airplanes being the first to be removed from FAA Airworthiness Directives, relieving applicable airlines of strict and time-consuming maintenance.-Assistant Supervisor - Responsible for group in his absence.

Assisted the airlines in trouble shooting and correction of in-service avionic problems.-Rewrote the fault isolation procedures for the autopilot system after just being assigned to the system.
