Train and assist military with L-3 1.2-meter and 2-meter VSAT (very small aperture terminal) antenna systemsinstallation, maintenance and troubleshooting. ViaSat EBEM FDMA modems firmware upgrades, configuration and troubleshooting. Upgradefirmware, configure and remedy scripting issues and isolate networking issues on Cisco 5915 and 6300 routers and2020 and 3300 switches. Develop testing and validation procedures for all above-named equipment. Utilizespectrum analyzers, volt-meters and other resources to isolate issues. Man helpdesk using COLTS database for workorders and inventory management. Recover lost inventory and update database. Work with military and programmanagement to resolve inventory discrepancies. Install, configure and troubleshoot VSAT dishes, amplifiers, modems, satellite receivers, cisco switches, encryptiondevices, video encoders and decoders in digital-video broadcasting and receive systems. Locate satellite usingcompass, inclinometer and satellite meter. TACLANE configuration and troubleshooting. Some exposure to ViasatKG-250X. Monitor video-feed network. Man helpdesk, using ticketing system. Troubleshoot with DVB-RCSnetwork hub and UVDS system to ensure sound delivery of full-motion video to clients. Troubleshoot usingwireshark network analyzer to track packets through network equipment. Configure and troubleshoot Cisco deviceswith Cisco CLI commands. Conduct site photographic site surveys for new satellite antenna sites, utilizing various survey instruments withparticular emphasis on horizons and potential LOS obstructions. Conduct RF measurements with spectrum analyzer.Conduct audits on communications towers, measuring heights and positions of various communications devicesaffixed to towers. Travel domestically and internationally on short notice as job requires.

Maintain satellite communications system for UAV control operations. Work with UAV operators and satellitecontrollers to troubleshoot issues. Conduct preventative maintenance.
