As an Emergency Management Intern, I have planned trainings and exercises; written the Brushfire and Earthquake emergency plans for the City of Los Angeles; coordinated community outreach events and annual workshops; and particpated in the activation of the Emergency Operations Center for both full scale functional exercises and real-life events.

While serving as a Gas Turbine System Technician in the U.S. Navy, I was responsible for Main Engine Room 1 on board the USS Fitzgerald (DDG-62). As Work Center Supervisor, I was responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of two LM2500 gas turbine engines and one Allison 501k-34 gas turbine generator as well as all their support systems. For my collateral duties, I served as the Scene Leader for the ship board fire party and as Team Leader for the Flight Deck Crash and Salvage Team.
