I am responsible for creating and maintaining a flexible risk management strategy, processes and procedures for the SWIP department whilst ensuring compliance with IS31000 and Pathway requirements. I am also required to manage the document control team, improving the document control structure and assisting in the production of a robust programme controls management system to achieve ISO9001I identify and analyse risk at all project life-cycle states, undertaking qualitative, quantitative and business risk assessments and subsequently provide effective treatments, actions and responses, ensuring clients risks are understood and proactively managed. With responsibility for the review and mitigation of all risks within the cross-rail west portfolio, I was accountable for a circa £200M risk management fund. I communicated risk drawdown impact to change control boards to ensure understanding and ensured active engagement and management through quantitative schedule and cost analysis.I initiated and implemented many process improvements and practised proactive and robust risk management to reduce the risk count significantly from 2800 to 1200 and also improved the risk management KPI index from 29% to 89%.
