CurrentJon C. Cowen is a partner in the firm’s Professional Practices, Business Litigation and Insurance and Tort Litigation groups. He represents businesses and individuals in a wide variety of disputes involving breach of contract, duty of care, intra-corporate and real estate-related disputes. Jon has extensive experience in defending professional liability claims and is also regularly called upon to provide advice on complex insurance coverage questions. Jon previously worked another Boston-based law firm and as in-house counsel at a large, privately held company outside of Boston. Jon’s aim is to help clients meet their personal, professional and business goals in a practical and cost-effective manner. Jon takes a common sense approach to dispute resolution, always keeping the client’s best interests in mind. When in court, Jon will forcefully advocate for his client’s rights. In addition to his significant courtroom experience, Jon is a skilled negotiator and regularly represents clients in mediation. His trial experience includes numerous appearances in the Massachusetts Appeals Courts. Jon has represented clients in jurisdictions across the country, including New York, California, Florida, Delaware and Nevada.
