About Jon Davison
Jon Davison is a clown performer, teacher, director, producer, researcher and musician with nearly 40 years’ experience in theatre, street, circus and TV. He is Lecturer in Clowning at London Metropolitan University and founder of the London Clown School. He is the author of two books, ‘Clown Readings in Theatre Practice’ and ‘Clown Training, a practical guide’, which have become major textbooks for students of clowning worldwide. He is producer of the long-running monthly clown show ‘Friday Flop’ and currently dedicating himself to teaching, directing and performing clowning online. He runs the London Clown School, providing regular clown workshops in the UK as well as frequent visits worldwide to teach clowning.https://linktr.ee/jondavison

Jon Davison is a clown performer, teacher, director, researcher, writer and musician with 30 years experience. Co-founder in 1993 of Companyia d’Idiotes, he has toured festivals, theatres, tents, streets and bars throughout Europe from Sicily to the Arctic. He trained at the École Philippe Gaulier and Fool Time Circus School (Bristol). As well as performing solo, he is part of the four-person clown/circus/pantomime company, Stupididity, currently touring Not A Real Horse.

I currently play accordion with Ru Rose on fiddle as the London duo Rhythm of the Floor, playing Canadian, Scottish and English folk. My main styles are folk -Klezmer, Bulgarian, Romania, English, Scottish, Irish and Cajun - and classical.I was accordionist with Wholesome Fish (1987-93), Nottingham Celtic-Cajun band, touring U.K., Ireland, Germany, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Romania. I then co-founded Orkestina (1997-2003), Jewish/Gypsy band in Barcelona, releasing 3 CD’s: Soul of Europe; Jewish Gypsy; Transilvania Express. Followed by Ciuri-Ciuri, later Hop! (2004-5), Jewish/Gypsy/World Music band in Barcelona, and La Vieja Orkestina (2008) with Ivan Dimitrov, Barcelona.
