Creating a cohesive team, developing strong agency relationships, finding customer solutions, and driving continual profitability are the things that I enjoy most about my work at Great West Casualty Company, which is one of the nation's leading truck insurance organizations.My knowledge in the insurance arena spans over several cross-functional teams and my career has progressed from my first job in claims processing to adjuster, underwriter, supervisor, vice president, and, now, senior VP.Some of my career highlights include: - I was selected as a leader of a workers’ compensation underwriting department at one of the nation’s top truck insurance carriers, delivering a significant profit with a lean direct-loss ratio for 10+ years.- I was named managing VP for three additional profitable companies—Old Republic Life (Occupational Accident), Old Republic Union (Contingent Casualty), and American Business & Mercantile Insurance Mutual (single unit and fleet owner-operator work comp)—and multiple business units for the parent organization, Old Republic.- I led the successful development and implementation of several workflow products, including a new commission structure designed to create additional streams of revenue for the organization. I enjoy mountain and road biking, too. And when the fall and winter seasons roll around, we cheer on the Iowa State Cyclones by attending football and basketball games.
