During my PhD, I joined the Strathclyde Science Scouts, a volunteer programme which aimed to promote the study of science to primary and secondary school students. My main responsibilities were to organise and deliver workshops at schools. In May 2017, I became the main coordinator of the programme, which involved creating new workshops and liaising with schools to organise events. I contributed to large-scale events such as delivering workshops at the Glasgow Science Centre as part of their Glasgow STEMfest and coordinating the university's involvement for Maths Week Scotland since 2017. I was also a mentor and the point of contact for undergraduate students taking part in the Allan Glen's tutoring programme run by the Faculty of Science in 2019 and 2020.

Throughout my PhD, I assisted with undergraduate-level tutorials for various mathematics classes. My main responsibilities included leading tutorials, marking class assignments and invigilating examinations. I was a tutor for the Maths portion of the Strathclyde STEM Summer School from 2017 to 2019. I assisted with the Department's International Summer School in 2017 and was asked to be a lead organiser for one of the workshops in 2018 and 2019. The subjects I taught included Calculus, Linear Algebra, Network Theory, Number Theory, Mathematical Modelling, Statistics and Real Analysis.

I assisted at the Maths Skills Support Centre (MSSC), a service which provides mathematical support to all students at the University of Strathclyde. My main responsibilities were to assist students who arrived for the drop-in sessions and give presentations to promote the MSSC to students.

I was a private tutor in mathematics for pupils studying at secondary school. Though I did tutor students in S1 and S2, I mainly offered tuition to students who were preparing for their examinations, ranging from National 5 (SCQF5) to Advanced Higher (SCQF8).

I originally studied a joint Mathematics with Teaching degree which allowed me to experience educational placements in secondary schools. During these placements I taught a number of classes from S1 to S6, either leading or assisting the class teacher. I learned pedagogical theories and participated in workshops covering behaviour management and differentiation in the classroom. I also gained experience working with students with additional support needs.
