I am a finance and accounting professional with private and public accounting experience managing all company finances, budgeting, reporting, month end close, accrual and cash accounting, and preparation of financial statements for firms up to $70 million in revenue. Less than 20 school credits from CPA Licensure. Along with my finance and accounting background, I have experience managing CRM, information technology, human resources and event registration operations. My expertise includes (1) budgeting, (2) maximizing profitability and (3) month end closing. Over the years, I’ve introduced higher margin offerings and also made tough decisions when needed, including cutting 50% of overhead costs after the pandemic began. I am a problem solver, a fast learner and dedicated to my company’s success. I increased profitability by introducing upgraded products for a company raising revenues on those sales by 15%. We budgeted out costs on an item by item basis and in leaner years we were able to cut hundreds of thousands in costs to maintain the bottom line. In the pandemic I was able to cut overhead costs in half, saving almost $2M.I created efficiencies in all areas of accounting saving time while maintaining internal controls. We moved from paper checks to paperless ACH payments. We implemented ERP MAS90 and later renamed Sage 100. We migrated the accounting system into the cloud to allow working from anywhere, which worked well when the pandemic began. I am interested in working in an accounting or finance role in OC or LA in a service business.
