Currently General Manager of a 45,000sq ft department store with 15 departments including DIY, a large garden centre, home wares, food and art and crafts with a strong management team. I manage the day to day running and full operations of the store along with moving with fast changes in promotions and many peak trading times.

Managed different Comet locations including a dual site role, all being responsible for the day to day running and planning of all departments. This included driving sales, recruiting, coaching and developing all managemnt and colleagues, reviewing and improving the customer experience in store. Other responsibilities covered stock control, merchandising the store to a high standard, audit, admin, and all cost controls.

South West

Responsible for all retail stores in the South West driving sales and ensuring all targets are met and exceeded where possible and all budgets kept in line. Held regular meetings and conference calls and visited stores daily to enforce key messages and strive to deliver a great customer shopping experince through great colleague interaction and high store standards. Showed great leadership skills through coaching my team to deliver the best results possible. Other responsibilities included loss prevention, audit, recruiting, colleague development, new store openings, performance management and ER issues.
