The Edwards Foundry existed as a small, independent design-focused studio specialising in bespoke UI (User Interface), UX (User Experience) and product design. In this role, I was contracted to both consult on and build solutions for fixed-term software design projects (both local and abroad); to add design and front-end development capacity to software teams; and — together with my partner — design products, branding and packaging for retail.

As front-end designer and developer at UntangleMyWeb, I was responsible for the design and front-end development of marketing and booking websites for the Australian tourism and hospitality markets (pre-Airbnb) — from small BnBs to large hotel chains, holiday destinations and festivals.

The small, bespoke design studio where my design-focused career started. In my eight-year tenure, I transitioned from "traditional" print and advertising design and creative direction, to digital, web and software design, and ultimately UI design and front-end development. Our small team offered a full-service complement of design skills to local and international clients — from identity design and campaign conceptualisation, to art direction and photo, video and audio production.

As an outsourced, contracted design partner to BlueSpace (acquired by Sterling), I assisted in the design, system visualisation and marketing materials of the company's numerous enterprise software applications — including multi-level security tools for email and chat for the defence and intelligence communities.
