Along with my career at Apple Inc., I have been a YoYo Professional since 1990. I am the creator of the Off String bind, which lead to the 4A division. In 1992 I competed in the first World contest that had competitive Freestyle YoYoing. I have traveled the world performing and teaching the art of YoYoing. I have also run Regional contests in the Denver area starting in 1997. During this time I have worked with Duncan, Yomega, YoYo Jam, YoYo Factory and HPK Marketing. I hold several World and National Titles in both YoYo and Spin Top. In 2017 I started Gates YoYo and started producing Hand Machined YoYos and Spin Tops. In 2020 I was inducted into the US National YoYo Hall of Fame.
