To be an independent voice in state government – to fill the role of a constitutional check in our system of checks and balances that we currently lack in our one-party system.2. To serve as the people’s lawyer – to protect the rights and interests of ALL Utahns, not just big donors and those who control our state government. To stand up to the supermajority in the Legislature and fight against futile litigation that wastes millions of dollars of taxpayer dollars – money that could be far better spent supporting education, clean air initiatives and other endeavors important to Utah citizens.3.
