Playing the saxophone has afforded me the opportunity to travel the world and cooperate with many wonderful musicians. I’ve been a military musician for over 25 years and performed all over the United States, Europe, and Asia. During my time in Army bands, I have toured with groups that play many varieties of Jazz (traditional, straight ahead, modern) and Popular music (classic rock, pop and R&B). While performing for soldiers in Iraq, I saw first hand the power of music to move and revitalize. Having worked in communities around the world, I am passionate about colaborating with local artists in all genres. Highlights of my experience included the Augusta Symphony and The Augusta Jazz Project, the Stabe Theater in Bamberg Germany, the John Mills Orchestra in Greeley Colorado, Louisville's Don Krekel Orchestra, Takatsuki Jazz Street in Osaka Japan, and the Manzil Mystics in New Delhi. I have been fascinated with the history of all music, but Jazz in particular has become my passion. My favorite and most influential musicians are definitely Dexter Gordon, Hank Mobley, Sonny Stitt and Dizzy Gillespie.
