Started as a part time sales associate, after 4 months, I was a part time team leader, closing the store 5 days a week.2001 after leaving the military, I became full time team leader, 2 months later, I became assistant store manager, then after 3 months, I had my own store, yes i was store manager with 15 people under me. 2003 Advance Auto Parts purchased Discount Auto Parts, and they started pouring their people into the District Managers positions as they came open and overlooked those of us that were qualified and ready to move up, so I left.
