About Jon Higham

I have been at Ofcom for 12 years. For the past 18 months I have been playing a central role in Ofcom's preparations to assume new responsibilities for Online Safety regulation. Prior to this I worked on a number of high profile projects which have impacted upon, and required me to develop a sound understanding of, a range of sectors, including online, broadcasting, telecommunications and aviation. Over the course of my time at Ofcom, I have had significant experience of policy development, strategy, financial planning, project management and engagement with industry and government stakeholders, as well as experience at presenting to a range of audiences including external stakeholders and Ofcom senior management. Prior to joining Ofcom I successfully completed a PhD, with my thesis focussing on post-War Austrian politics.
