Lead Ofcom's planning and performance team for 3 months while the permanent post-holder was seconded to another team. Key responsibilities included:1) Leading 10 person team responsible for management reporting;2) Oversaw development of Ofcom's 2017/18 budget; and3) Regularly presented information on budget and MI packs to senior managers including the CEO.

Lead policy advisor working on 700 MHz clearance project, the aim of which was to re-plan the UK TV network in order to release more airwaves for mobile broadband. Key responsibilities included:1) Overseeing drafting of major regulatory statement on the business case for re-planning TV network;2) Leading development of policy on how to implement re-plan of TV network;3) Lead development of policy on funding for wireless microphone users adversely affected by the re-plan; and4) Member of Broadcasting Space and Propagation management team, with line management responsibilities.

Project manager for the UHF Strategy Implementation project, one of Ofcom's strategic priorities. The goal of this project is to assess the case for re-planning the spectrum used by terrestrial television in order to free up more spectrum for mobile broadband.Key responsibilities/achievements include:- Jointly responsible for leading stakeholder engagement on £500m infrastructure project;- Overseeing timely delivery of high profile publications, including Ofcom’s consultation on its plans to re-plan the TV network in order to release more spectrum for mobile broadband services;-Presenting to challenging external and internal audiences (including Ofcom Board);- Leading formulation of policy on a wide range of complex technical and economic issues, ensuring that our approach to policy development is evidence-based, analytically robust and informed by input from relevant subject matter experts;- Managing 15 person multidisciplinary project team; and-Managing project budget and resources.

Seconded to the Department for Transport from Ofcom to provide advice on the design of a funding scheme for the modification of UK Air Traffic Control radars. Key responsibilities/achievements included:- Responsible for developing policy framework underpinning £15m grant scheme; and- Responsible for engaging with a range of stakeholders, both governmental and commercial on issues related to development of grant scheme.

Played a key role in the delivery of a number of major policy projects touching on a wide range of sectors including, telecommunications, broadcasting and aviation. Key responsibilities/achievements during this period included:- Project managed timely delivery of major consultation document on use of spectrum in the 1800 MHz band for delivery of 4G services;- Led Ofcom input into Government decisions regarding funding for multi-million pound program of modifications to UK radars;- Played key role in successful outcome to negotiations on funding for radar modifications;- Led Ofcom work on extending availability of Republic of Ireland TV services in Northern Ireland; and- Responsible for engaging with and presenting to external stakeholders on a range of sensitive political, commercial and technical issues including availability of Republic of Ireland TV services in Northern Ireland, public funding for radar modifications, and the impact of 4G mobile phone services on maritime navigation radars.
