The Board is appointed by the Chief Local Elected Official (CLEO) of the ten-county workforce area under provisions established by an Inter-Local Agreement among the County Judge Executives of the ten counties. The local workforce area includes the Kentucky counties of Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Hart, Logan, Metcalfe, Monroe, Simpson, and Warren. The primary responsibility of the President is to provide professional leadership in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to address the board’s workforce priorities. The primary responsibility of the Board and its President is to ensure that the South Central Workforce Area has a comprehensive workforce system that effectively meets the needs of employers and job seekers and is aligned with regional and local economic development strategies in the workforce area. -
