Developed, coordinated, and executed communication strategies & tactics to effectively implement Secretary LaRose’s mission. These included innovative outreach efforts that led to Ohio’s most successful election on record, greater voter confidence in the administration of Ohio’s elections, and new highs in business creation.

Served as the spokesperson for Ohio Governor John R. Kasich. Coordinated between the governor's office and 25 cabinet level agencies to proactively and reactively message complex and challenging issues to the national & local media, as well as the general public. Managed the booking of the governor on multiple national and local media platforms. Supervised digital media on behalf of the governor.

Led the communication team for the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services - a $3.5 billion agency with approximately 2,600 employees. Served as primary spokesperson to the media and coordinated public outreach initiatives for the state's public assistance, workforce development, unemployment insurance, child & adult protective services, adoption, child care, and child support programs.

Worked with the communication director in development of campaign messaging. Led the campaign's social media team. Directed the rapid response team during major campaign events.

Coordinated communication strategies and rapid response for cabinet-level agencies within the state of Ohio. Built messaging, event preparation, and execution for the governor's office. Led social media strategies and website development.

Provided strategic and tactical advice for clients as they worked to engage stakeholders on multiple platforms.

Developed communication campaigns, analyzed policies, and provided strategic management support designed to strengthen the mission of the Sector-Specific Agency Executive Management Office within the Office of Infrastructure Protection at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Led and implemented outreach and awareness efforts. Worked to provide consistent and positive messaging on mission, goals, milestones, and initiatives. Provided new ideas and strategies on digital media, congressional outreach, and motivation of thought leaders and decision makers.

Coordinated the formulation of a Strategic Communications and Outreach Plan on behalf of the Protective Security Coordination Division in the Office of Infrastructure Protection at the United States Department of Homeland Security. Supported the development of strategy and tactics on behalf of the United States Air Force's Congressional Quadrennial Defense Review. Advised on the creation of the Risk Management Plan (RMP) on behalf of the National Railroad Passenger Corporation (Amtrak) which promoted an efficient communication process throughout the Amtrak organization.

Assisted in management of public affairs team and worked with junior staff and clients on effective monitoring and communication with branches of the Federal Government, national media and their consumer base. Provided expertise in successful implementation of the U.S. Army's Planning for Life program held in cities all over the country. Coordinated strategies and events with National Geographic and a coalition of 23 corporations or non-profit organizations in support of the My Wonderful World education campaign. Received recognition by MS&L for efforts regarding the successful kickoff of the My Wonderful World campaign in May, 2006.

Communicated Department of Education policy to members of congress and their staff to advance the Administration's legislative priorities. Primary contact for 163 members of congress in the Northeast and Midwest. Analyzed federal education policy, communicated changes and impact to congressional staff. Organized and represented the Office of Congressional Affairs and the U.S. Department of Education at events and meetings upon the request of members of congress, including town hall forums and informational events.

Advised Congressman Tiberi on several issues including education, labor and constitutional matters. Served as liaison with the Education & Workforce committee. Represented Congressman Tiberi in meetings with lobbying groups and constituents. Managed constituent correspondence related to my areas of expertise.

Responded to the needs of constituents by successfully navigating the bureaucratic process on their behalf. Assisted legislative staff with research.

Provided news media with background on floor proceedings and legislation on behalf of the Clerk of the House and Speaker Jo Ann Davidson.

Led the successful campaign of David Goodman's first election to the Ohio House of Representatives versus a well-funded two-time congressional candidate. Coordinated campaign strategy, including grassroots efforts, Get-Out-the-Vote, media, and fundraising to win the election with 60% of the vote in a swing House district.
