About Jon Lemay
I’m a writer, podcaster, and educator with experience in overseeing and managing the production/development of podcasts, comedy and theatrical productions, and literary publications. I strongly believe in the power of storytelling through a variety of forms and mediums—and my hope is to bring my experience as a producer and audio editor to an organization committed to high-quality work that displays the full range of what’s possible in the realm of audio entertainment. My first podcast, “Welcome to the Teachers’ Lounge,” examined the personal and professional lives of educators, and was highlighted in The A.V. Club and Carney Sandoe & Associates’ list of top education podcasts. My most recent podcast, “Pat & Jon on Their Best Behavior,” explored the films and music formative for me, my co-host, and a range of guests that includes actors and comedians such as Michael Zegen, Kate Willett, and Julia Claire. In May of 2020, I was hired as a podcast consultant and developer for the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University.I received my MFA in Creative Writing from Syracuse University, where I also served as Editor-in-Chief of Salt Hill Journal. My writing has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and has appeared in Nashville Review, Salamander, Juked, Poetry Northwest, Hobart, and Barrelhouse. I’ve also taught high school and university-level English, literature, and writing at a variety of schools sprinkled throughout New York, Tennessee, New Jersey, and my home state of New Hampshire.
