Responsible for all system engineering, subcontractor relations, and project management. Direct the specification and purchase of needed supplies in order to accomplish successful system integration. Manage system installations and start-up worldwide. Provide guidance, training, and support for site engineers, contractors, and operators.

Designing infrared cameras and integrating systems for applications that improve production, determine maintenance scheduling, and improve facility safety. Engineering designs that require knowledge of optical, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and motion systems with considerations for OSHA, ATEX, NEC, NFPA, CE, IP, UL, CSA, and ISO. Working efficiently as a self starter that can manage a wide array of tasks while under minimal supervision.- Prioritize designs for new products and customer projects from conception to successful implementation on site. - Travel throughout the United States to meet with customers for proposals, communicating designs, and manage the installation of systems.- Redesign products for manufacturability and cost savings.- Support manufacturing for sustaining engineering and improve assembly, quality, and lead times.- Issue engineering change orders and supervise document control.- Visit vendors to verify capabilities and scheduling.- Interview and train outsourcing design companies, draftsmen, engineers, and technicians.

Designed and integrated laser systems for cutting, marking, micromachining, and welding various types of materials for industrial and experimental purposes. Worked closely with several different types of engineers to broaden background knowledge for integration. - Developed full framed systems, machine components, and new product lines.- Designed motion systems, optical components, plumbing systems, extrusions, sheet metal, and steel/aluminum frames.- Communicated with vendors to prepare quotes and obtain specifications for integration. Prepared drawings for proposals, machining, assembly, and system manuals.- Calculated and monitored assemblies to ensure customer specifications and minimize costs. - Used laser interferometry, tested software, provided quality control, diagnosed mechanical and electrical systems, wrote operational manuals. - Installed systems in China and trained customers to ensure systems integrity and customer’s satisfaction.
