Taking an extended break from helping teams as a Scrum Master to focus on time with my family and the experience of travelling through France for the summer. Had the best time but as with all good things, we had to finish and come home to the real world.

Working as a Scrum Master to support the delivery of a digital Identity service to support the NHS. This initiative created a digital identity verification service for anyone and everyone who wishes to use an online NHS service. Initially rolled to support mobile booking of appointments via the NHS App, repeat prescriptions and other data management services, the ultimate goal is for this product to become the defacto standard for identity across the NHS. My role as Scrum Master covered the diverse range of activities often encountered in the day to day performance of Scrum. Such as:- Helping form the Scrum events calendar. Facilitating where required.- Encouraging team self organisation. - Helping the team resolve conflict. - Identifying possible areas for change and bringing these up with individuals or the team.- Supporting the PO and the Product backlog (particularly in making sure the right steps were embedded to ensure backlog was well refined) - Supporting the organisation in its use and understanding of Scrum. - Helping the organisation to land its support model and prepare it for scale.- Being a mentor for other Scrum Masters and Delivery managers. Before completing the contract, the team successfully landed the core product (seeing its use top 50,000 individuals inside the first 6 months) as well as a proof of concept product version which used automated facial recognition to support cross checking of identity artifacts.

Engaged as a Scrum Master for First Direct, this role helped support the teams building a replacement mobile online banking product. First Direct used the SAFe approach to delivery which required me to support activities such as:- Product Increment planning- Supporting the BA and PO team in preparing and presenting the Product Backlog to the team. - Supporting the Scrum team in their day to day delivery challenges (helping them to uncover answers and removing blockers where they arose).- Helping the Agile Release train understand and gain visibility of progress from the team. Having been very successful in helping the team hit their goals every sprint and every Product Increment, this role was curtailed due to a change within the wider organisation which meant a wholesale shift in the team composition.

Working as a Scrum Master for Collaboris - a small startup based in the UK. Initially helping the business derive its backlog for an online digital broadcast platform. Moving to help form the Scrum practices within the team - setting up the events, helping facilitate when needed. Other aspects of this role included:- Helping the business form their view of 'value' so that the work could effectively be prioritised by the product owners.- Resolving day to day impediments that slowed the delivery for the remote team. - Talking to people outside the business in support of the product launches. - Helping the business move towards a more sustainable delivery pace for the right products.

Delivering problem management and delivery services to support a digital transformation programme at CO-OP Insurance. Formally engaged as an Agile Delivery Manager. Performing Data, Scheduling and Deployment lead duties. Designing and implementing responsive deployment processes and controls to perform a company wide Windows refresh.

Delivering Project management services to support LLoyds Banking group deloy a Windows based deskop estate. Setting up and running the VIP deployment service to ensure a 'white glove experience' from the delivery partners.

Delivering a Windows 7 deployment PM service to Yorkshire Building Society. Working as part of the testing team and the service transformation team.

Providing an Infrastructure Delivery Manager service to HSBC for a major refresh of the global payments platform architecture - which served bank critical payments processing.Delivering across multiple territories throughout the world via dispersed IT teams.

Delivering Project Management services to support on the largest banking integration project in the UK in 2011 as a Senior Infrastructure Project Manager. Working with the incumbent project management and delivery staff to aid project recovery and delivery in time for critical milestones.

Supporting the CQC by delivering project recovery services for a business intelligence project that had encountered difficulties.Working to reduce the spend of this government organization by reconcilling 2 industry standard Business Intelligence reporting systems into one best of breed service.
