A proven estimating, project controls and materials management professional with over 40 years total experience in the EPC industry for major upstream onshore and offshore oil and gas projects; and downstream refinery, chemicals; and mining projects. Has extensive experience as Lead Estimator developing all types of estimates for a wide variety of major oil and gas, upstream and downstream projects worldwide. Experience includes positions as Estimating Director and Business Manager; and has managed Estimating, Project Controls and Materials Control departments; and served as a Lead Estimator, Lead Cost Engineer, and Field Cost Engineer on foreign and domestic projects. Has held senior positions at Synergen Consulting, Fluor Corporation, Jacobs Engineering, Hudson Engineering, and John Brown managing assignments for owner/operator companies such as Shell, ExxonMobil, Enbridge, Aramco, GASCO, Santos, ConocoPhillips, Marathon, Citgo and BP. Extensive experience developing Approved for Expenditure (AFE) gate and funding approval capital cost estimates and related funding criteria for owners / operators. Also functioned as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for “Pipelines” and for “Offshore” within the Estimating Group of a major international EPC contractor. Currently retired from Fluor Corp. Houston (11/06/15) as an E&C Estimating Director (1989 – 2015).Post retirement has successfully completed consulting assignment as Damage Expert on arbitration case involving pipelines in the Eagle Ford.
