For the past twenty-five years I have been the chief visioneer, lead communicator and teaching pastor in the three churches I served during that period. For the past twelve years I served in a multi-staff congregation. Starting during an economic downturn and concluding during a worldwide pandemic, I shepherded a congregation through major downturns and crisis. In my most recent role significant accomplishments include development and implementation of a new governance system, staff and ministry realignment, and the navigation of a significant season of conflict. Despite significant financial challenges and decline numerically, the congregation has deepened in its commitment to spiritual growth of its members and social impact in its community. My role included responsibility for all facets of day to day operations and long-range planning of the organization. I functioned as the chief executive and worked closely with the financial officers to ensure the management and disbursement of funds in accordance with the Governing Board's approved budget. Training and development of staff and volunteers as well as the instructional and inspirational programming of the church was under my purview. I was responsible for the conception and development of each quarter’s aligned ministry plan and he overall discipleship framework of the church. In addition I served, as the community outreach and liaison to our partners in the community and beyond, serving on a variety of boards, councils, and as a volunteer, participant, and supporter of various causes and initiatives in our community designed to promote flourishing. I remain active in educational, social service, and business groups who are working collaboratively to bring about good in the Roseburg and greater Douglas County area.
