I am a Dispute Resolution lawyer focusing on complex multi-jurisdictional insurance and reinsurance disputes. I act for London market as well as overseas insurers and reinsurers and I also act for clients on general commercial litigation matters.My practice is broad and includes a range of insurance and reinsurance coverage disputes across a variety of lines of business including property and business interruption, financial lines, civil liability and employers’ liability. I have been involved in matters ranging from the reinsurance test case for allocation of mesothelioma (asbestos) claims which went to the doors of the Supreme Court to acting for a large market of insurers in various significant financial lines losses. More recently, my practice has had more of a property focus, representing various insurers on a range of property matters, including business interruption claims arising out of the COVID-19 pandemic and a number of subrogated recovery actions. My clients are primarily based in the London insurance market (both Companies and Syndicates) and I have particular experience and understanding of Lloyd’s syndicates, the run-off market and issues relating to Binding Authority Agreements/MGAs.
