Front line emergency care based predominantly on a double manned ambulance with occation shifts on cars.Mentorship of student Paramedics

At the time one of the 1st ECP's to be operational. Covering OOH's in south Warwickshire along with working in A&E at Warwick Hospital. The role included front line emergency work based on rapid respose vehicles. The role was designed to fascilitate see and treat, increace leave at home rates and enable more appropriate referals into hospital in an attempt to bypass clogged A&E depts.Skills included:Wound closure (inc suturing)Catheterisation (Male only)X-ray request and interpretation, splintingRange of drug admin on bases of PGD's including a range of antibiotics, analgesia, anti-emetics, Dip-tet.Increased level of assessment skills
