I worked as part of a team that provided structural and aircraft fire protections, in support of the U.S. military mission in Afghanistan. Dyncorp international provides fire protection in many locations in the country. I was located in the southern Helmand Province. As part of my duties, I reorganized the fire department training program and ensured that training requirements were met with 100% compliance during my time in this position.

I dynamically led all daily activities of an assigned double company fire station across all fire ground, emergency scene, and station functions. I utilized technical knowledge, skills, and proven capabilities to drive and expand public safety through services related to protection of life and property. I ensured for 100% operational readiness at all times by overseeing and directing routine station tasks and preventative maintenance efforts for all equipment. I evaluated incident conditions to identify necessary resources and quickly procure additional aid when necessary.
