Flight Operations Task Lead
Current• Provide day-to-day direction for operations and engineering activities, create short and long term support schedules, project milestones, and team assignments. Maintain subject matter expertise in space communication and tracking networks, tracking and acquisition data, and customer spacecraft capabilities. • Lead engineering activities including new mission integration, facility capability enhancement, and analysis. Oversee sub-teams to creating scripts and tools for automation, data processing, and analysis.• Work with contract management on level of effort and budget estimates, project planning, and employee performance evaluation• Prime technical interface to customers and NASA management. Work to maintain relationships, define integrated schedules and milestones, and negotiate requirements and interfaces. Serve as the team’s technical authority for risk evaluation and root-cause-corrective-action processes.• Maintain oversight of internal and external requirements, verification matrixes, and design and CONOPS documents. Leverage requirements and documentation to ensure that mission needs are met, to provide sub-teams with a scope of work, and to ensure that activities and decisions are traceable. • Extensive experience working directly with NASA’s Near Space Network, the Johnson Space Center Flight Operations Directorate, international governmental aerospace organizations, and multiple private operators of spacecraft and launch vehicles. Experience working and communicating across disciplines and leadership levels to achieve overall mission goals.
