Responsible for all measurement activities within a given geographic region including 3rd party pipelines, terminals and Valero facilities.Initiate and resolve quantity and quality claims by direct communication with industry counterparts. As continuous improvement, suggest and implement new procedures by which can help expedite movements, reduce losses, contamination and demurrage. Responsible for accuracy of measurement devices including meters, provers, samplers, tanks and other measurement devices that impact the overall balance.Provide monthly, quarterly and annual reports on movements within area of coverage.Verify and confirm volumes with independent inspection companies for all movements within refinery.Oversee and monitor proving and calibration of various measurement devices throughout area of coverage.Track and trend data from measurement devices to identify potential equipment malfunction or inaccuracy.Evaluate and review industry standards in aspect of measurement and transporting petroleum to reduce volume losses and claims.Develop a system and perform objective audits of independent inspector’s performance and relay/review this information with each company and make recommendations on future use to schedulers
