Fellow
Alliance Defense Fund
I spent the summer of 2007 as an intern for the Alliance Defense Fund, in their Blackstone Legal Fellowship program. This program involved an intensive two-week training in the beginng, followed a six week placement gaining legal experience. I was placed in New York, supporting the legal staff for a small Catholic organization. During this six weeks, I did extensive research and wrote summary memos on RLUIPA, Sarbanes-Oxley, the (at the time) new FRCP amendments, and mandatory reporting. These memos were written to provide information for all of this group's affiliates throughout the country, so I was integrating state and federal law, providing information of general application as well as parceling out the specifics for each relevant region.
