I have progressed through a number of roles within the business to become a team manager. My initial team was developed from small group of multi-discipline advisors, quickly becoming a multi-market / multi-team department of ~70 agents, 4 team managers and a senior. Whilst not solely responsible, I played a major part in this and had to apply a flexible mindset, show great adaptability as the roles of myself and the advisors changed and developed as demand and tasks undertaken developed based on business needs. Following this I was responsible for helping set up, shape and grow the Support Team. A helpdesk function replacing the MBWA “Floor Walker” task. During this period as well as management of a team of advisors providing traditional agent support, we (as a management team) helped shape, develop and implement new processes both internally and for the wider contact center. After the disbandment of this project we have transitioned team members into other roles and re-directed their resource where appropriate to suit business needs. My current role is of team manager for a multi-function team (working in collaboration with other areas of the business) providing seamless processing of information from email queues, for both external and internal customers. This means that our customer facing staff can spend more time focusing on providing excellent service to customers who require expert assistance, in addition to reduced touch points for clients wanting to focus on making reservations that suit their requirements. I am continually working towards empowering my team to perform key tasks within our process as effectively and efficiently as possible. This enables them to find solutions for customers and retain profit for the business where possible. Day to day role involved processing all supplier delivery paperwork, inputting stock on to inventory management system. Liaising with external haulage companies to arrange delivery of orders and collections. Input of all other data relating to the WMS (Warehouse Management System)Whilst at 3663 not only did my career progress but also I learned a great deal. I started my employment with them in the Outbound / Inbound Sales team processing warm customer orders. After gaining a good understanding of the customer facing side of the business, I transitioned into the Buying and Purchasing team. Here I took on the role of Junior Buyer and worked with a number of small providers and partners, placing orders and scheduling delivery based on forecasting requirements and current sales data. My final position here was a more admin based role in the Goods Inwards Team, this gave me the opportunity to spend more time on my voluntary work and developing skills such as Professional Training, Achievement and Voluntary Experience. Each new position here gave me a greater understanding of operational activities, increased responsibility and improved opportunities and education for myself.
