About Jon Shackleton

My current role is of team manager for a multi-function team (working in collaboration with other areas of the business) providing seamless processing of information from email queues, for both external and internal customers.     I have progressed through a number of roles within the business to become a team manager. My initial team was developed from small group of multi-discipline advisors, quickly becoming a multi-market / multi-team department of ~70 agents, 4 team managers and a senior. Whilst not solely responsible, I played a major part in this and had to apply a flexible mindset, show great adaptability as the roles of myself and the advisors changed and developed as demand and tasks undertaken developed based on business needs. Following this I was responsible for helping set up, shape and grow the Support Team. A helpdesk function replacing the MBWA “Floor Walker” task. During this period as well as management of a team of advisors providing traditional agent support, we (as a management team) helped shape, develop and implement new processes both internally and for the wider contact center. After the disbandment of this project we have transitioned team members into other roles and re-directed their resource where appropriate to suit business needs.
