Professional Development Engineer
Houston, Texas Area
Rotated through three disciplines in professional engineer development program. Worked closely with diverse engineering teams, followed strict standards and protocols, and ensured deadlines were met. Based in Houston with hands-on field experience in Wolfcamp and Eagle Ford Shale, Texas; Unita Basin, Utah; and Haynesville, Louisiana.Completions Engineering Rotation• Contributed to initial and recompletion hydraulic fracture design programs, modifying and implementing complex frac designs for specific reservoir intervals to optimize oil and gas production and exceed type-curve estimates. • Conducted mechanical integrity review of candidate wells and aided team in remediation design and execution, including CBL review, casing scans / caliber logs, cement squeezes and casing patching, working collaboratively to deliver exceptional recompletion program. • Utilized MFrac, Frac Pro and Terranaut to develop reservoir and hydraulic fracture model and weigh effectiveness of frac program modifications, optimizing initial completions in Unita Basin, Altamont, Utah. Drilling Engineering Rotation• Executed introductory drilling rig supervisory role, focusing on well planning, Mywells monitoring, MWD log interpretation and lateral placement adjustments; as well as AFE preparation and routing, cost estimation, bidding and scheduling.• Completed Northstar - Advanced Casing Design Course, focusing on load cases, stresses, pressures and well casing design. • Conducted directional well planning and anti-collision utilizing Compass software.• Conducted field review and created drilling profiles, assisting asset team with drilling cost estimates for acquisition proposal.Facilities Engineering Rotation• Contributed to development of 2-year water management plan to economically handle water production in Wolfcamp, TX, conducting production forecasts, pipeline pressure loss calculations, and optimizing pump location and sizing to increase overall system capacity 80%.
