In 2016, Campus Estates collaborated with Global Student Accommodation Group (GSA) on their re-entry into the Australian student accommodation market as part of their global expansion strategy with Jon acting as the Head of Real Estate driving the acquisition and development of a significant portfolio of over 2,500 beds across Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.Campus Estates is now partnering with a range of experienced property developers and investors, bringing extensive student accommodation experience to the rapidly expanding Purpose Built Student Accommodation sector across Australia and New Zealand. Jon has expert market and product knowledge and a demonstrable track record of delivering over 7,500 beds across Australia since 2011Prior to founding Campus Estates, Jon was the UK Development Director at Unite Group Plc, responsible the implementation of the acquisition and development pipeline of large and complex student accommodation projects throughout the UK and helping Unite Group become the leading provider of Student Hospitality in the UK with a portfolio of in excess of 40,000 beds by 2008.In 2009, Jon co-founded Campus Development Management, a company that advised and co-invested with established property companies, investors and developers, driving major PBSA schemes through planning and development and also at the same time advising on international student accommodation opportunities. This international focus led Jon to re-locating to Australia to advise Urbanest Australia and ultimately spearheading their Acquisition and Development program as they rapidly expanded their student accommodation portfolio across Sydney Melbourne and Adelaide. Urbanest are now one of Australia's leading student accommodation owner and operators.
