I'm an editor and reporter who's interested in artificial intelligence, the power and politics of emerging technology, the space and biotech industries, public health, and the environment. I love to break stories and help craft thoughtful essays, and I'm particularly interested in packaging journalism in a fun, accessible way that really makes a splash.I'm currently the executive editor of Futurism, where I'm in charge of scouting, assigning and editing coverage and essays by our newsroom's staff and freelance roster. During my time here, our work has been picked up by The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Atlantic, Slate, Gizmodo, HuffPost, The Boston Globe, The Daily Beast, and many other outlets. I've also worked extensively on our social media, editorial workflow, analytics, and archive management systems. Before that, I spent several years editing Make Magazine's entrepreneurship newsletter, as well as freelancing for a variety of outlets including The Boston Globe, Wired, Ars Technica, Slate, Vice, BuzzFeed News, The Atlantic, and Popular Science.
Listed skills include Wired, Slate, and Journalism.
