Discovery Kid's Science Lab is a hands-on Science enrichment class for kids. The program focuses on planting a love of science in students that will later grow into a career in a STEM field. Discovery Kids Science Lab was created to help students discover and construct their own ideas.As a teacher of 12 years I always loved watching my student’s faces light up whenever we did science experiments. Science was not only the highlight of my day, but theirs as well. It seemed to be the only subject loved by all students. Science allowed them to be able to truly think for themselves as it doesn’t focus on whether a student is right or wrong, but it allows them to create their own idea and test their beliefs. The beauty of science is that it teaches students to be problem solvers through creating ideas and testing them. Even if the idea is incorrect the student gains a higher level of thinking than if they never tested the belief altogether.
