After initial employment as a Senior Pipeline Inspector, I was appointed as a QA / QC Vendor Inspector, carrying out third party inspections on piping materials, static and rotating equipment, pressure retaining equipment to be used on refineries, and gas processing plants on behalf of Saudi Aramco and numerous other clients, finally joining the auditing section as an approved auditor.

I performed inspection of In-Line Heat Exchangers and Water Bath Heaters, including Ultrasonic Thickness checks on Heater Tubes, Gas Tubes, Boiler Shell, and Inlet and Outlet Pipework. I performed painting and coating inspection to for freshly applied paint and coating systems on piping, vessels, and steel structures.

I was employed as a Radiographic Interpreter on the Madinah Water Transmission pipeline system, SWCC Saudi Arabia, seconded to Aramco as Vendor Inspector on behalf of CMC Ltd. I also served as the vendor coating inspector on behalf of McDermott Engineering on the marine pipeline for Jizan Bulk Storage Plant. Later, I was assigned to assist the Corporate QA/QC Manager as the nominated representative onsite.

I supervised three coating crews on coating repairs, a 36” live gas line, and Pearson Surveys on the Irish Gas Interconnector project in South West Scotland.

I was initially employed as a Welding Inspector on pipelines and above ground installations and promoted to Senior Pipeline Inspector for British Gas, British Gas – Eastern Region, Southern Region, Northern Region, and North West Region, Welsh Gas, Scottish Gas, and Bord Gas Eirran on various pipeline projects and gas facilities.
